Here at Kingshill Studios, we spend a lot of time thinking about what our clients want and the type of images they wish to display in their homes for years to come.

A few years ago now, we introduced our PURE newborn sessions which have been increasingly popular since, with around 70% of our clients option for one of these sessions.

So what is a PURE Session?

Think Scandinavian style, simple details, neutral colours and a feeling of purity and calm. That’s exactly what a PURE newborn session at Kingshill Studios entails.

If you find yourself to be quite the interior designer, wandering aimlessly around IKEA looking for inspiration then our PURE portraits will fit perfectly within the walls of your home.

How to prepare

When you book a session with us, we guide you through the whole process from start to finish, and we’re proud to say that we are always praised for our exceptional customer service.

We’ve worked really hard to ensure your experience with Kingshill Studios is like no other and are always so happy that families decide to return to us again and again.

For these sessions, white works best, for Mums, a white dress, chiffon blouse or top looks great, as well as any beiges/soft natural colours too. For Dad, again a shirt, polo shirt or a plain white t shirt. No heavy logos or prints please, we want the focus to be on your little one. For siblings, again, dresses, t shirts and leggings or trouser, dungarees, all work perfectly.

And of course for your newborn, we’ll ask you to bring them along in a white vest and white babygrow, and that means if they are sleeping when they arrive, we can get started straight away.

We tell you to be on the same colour palette, not completely matching. Whites, creams, beiges all compliment each other and look great on the walls of homes for years to come.

What if I like a bit of colour?

We’re glad you asked. Many of our families opt to start with a PURE style session and then add in a bit of colour at the end, so that you’re getting the best of both world. We can still keep the colours quite neutral, but instead of the simplicity of a PURE session we can incorporate some blankets, textures and props to add a bit of variety to your gallery too.
