Photography Lighting Workshop at Kingshill Studios

Something a little different to share with you on the blog today…

I don’t often talk about the business side of Kingshill Studios, but when I’m not photographing your gorgeous tiny babies, young children and family, there is much I do behind the scenes. It’s all part and parcel of running my busy photography business.

Photography workshops

Personal development is a key focus for me, and I regularly attend photography workshops and training events to keep my photography skills laser-sharp. There is always something new to learn, and that’s part of why I love what I do!

I also relish the opportunity to get together with other photographers when I can. So, it was an absolute pleasure to recently host a photography lighting workshop here at Kingshill Studios with renowned photography trainer, Gary Hill.

Gary is a highly experienced photography mentor who has spoken at all the leading photography events around the country, including The Societies of Photographers Convention, The Master Photographers Association’s ‘Meet The Masters’ event, Photohubs by the Guild of Photographers, The Newborn and Portrait Show, and The Photography Show to name a few.

He’s one of the UK’s leading photographer trainers and is booked to speak around the country and internationally. So, you can imagine my delight that I had the opportunity to welcome him to my photography studio in Aberdeen!

Expert lighting workshop for photographers

Gary came to Kingshill for two days in October to impart his knowledge to two small groups of professional photographers whom I was hosting here over the weekend.

With the help of the fabulous models who joined us for the lighting workshop, Gary taught the group how to create stunning light within a photography studio environment and how to create flattering portraits.

It certainly was a fascinating two days, and the feedback I received afterwards was superb! Everyone who came along said they loved the experience and that they learnt so much.
