newborn baby photoshoot scotland

Newborn sessions usually last around two to three hours, depending on how the wee one settles - we stop for feeds and nappy changes and all the stuff that goes with babies!  The studio is kept very warm to keep your baby comfortable so make sure YOU wear light clothing.

We photograph all newborns bare-skinned or in one of our many props and accessories. All the hats, wraps, headbands, props and backdrops are provided so you don’t have to bring anything with you.  However,  if you have anything special such as a family blanket or toy, then let me know at the start of the session (or even during the telephone consultation), and we’ll try to incorporate it.

We love to photograph mummies and daddies with their newborns. Parents should wear neutral/earth coloured tops. Even if you don't want your face in the pictures, we highly recommend bringing a plain white, cream, or black shirt for images of the baby in your hands.

What to bring:

Make sure to bring a change of clothing in case your baby makes a mess on you  - it sometimes happens!!  It’s also best to bring plenty of extra nappies and wipes. And IF your baby has taken a bottle I would recommend bringing pumped milk or formula so we can bottle feed during the session. This allows the baby to eat faster (and more!) at one sitting so they will sleep more soundly and allow for more setups in the time we have together.  If you use a dummy with your baby, please bring along a couple of these too.

Session Fee:

A session fee of £195 includes all post-production/finishing of the images, production of a slideshow for your viewing appointment, and the viewing appointment itself.
